Terms & Conditions for 30-day free subscription to Chalkstring's Takeoff function

Definitions

"Company": The entity that signs up for the 30-day free subscription.
"Initial User": The first User who receives login credentials and access to the Company's Account which provides access to the Takeoff Function during the Subscription Period.
"Users": Individuals who are authorised by the Initial User at the Company to have access the Company's Account and the Takeoff Function.
"Chalkstring": Refers to Chalkstring Ltd, the provider of the software which includes but is not limited to the Takeoff Function.
"Subscription": The temporary access granted to the Company to use the Takeoff Function, under the terms and conditions specified.
"Subscription Period": The 30-day period starting from the date the first User receives their login to the Company's Account and Takeoff Function.
"Takeoff Function": The specific feature of Chalkstring’s software that the Company will have access to during the Subscription Period.
"Full Licence": A paid subscription that grants the Company access to the complete range of features and functionalities offered by Chalkstring, according to the specific product or level of subscription chosen by the Company.
"Account": The specific instance of access and use granted to the Company for the Takeoff Function during the Subscription Period, including all associated Users and data stored within.
"Data": Refers to any information, content, drawings, documents, or materials uploaded, stored, or transmitted by the Company or its Users through their Account within the Takeoff Function during the Subscription Period.

 

1. Eligibility
1.1 This offer is available to new customers only. 
1.2 Existing customers or those who have previously taken part in a free Subscription trial are not eligible.
1.3 Only one free Subscription per Company is permitted. 
1.4 The Company may add multiple Users to the account during the Subscription Period.

2 Subscription Period
2.1 The 30-day free Subscription Period begins on the date the first User receives their login to their Company's Account enabling them to use Chalkstring's Takeoff Function.
2.2 Users may be added at any time during the Subscription Period, but the end date of the Subscription will remain unchanged as 30-days after the date the free Subscription Period began.


3 Access and Usage
3.1 The free subscription provides access solely to the Takeoff Function of Chalkstring's software.
3.2 Chalkstring will create a Company Account and provide Users with login credentials by email. 
3.3 If additional Users request access to the Company's Account, Chalkstring will request authorisation in writing from the Initial User or a Director registered on Companies House on behalf of the Company before providing login credentials.
3.3 Users can upload and download drawings as part of the Takeoff Function.
3.4 There is no cash alternative or equivalent for this offer.


4 Post-Subscription Period
4.1 Upon the conclusion of the 30-day free Subscription, the Company will decide whether to upgrade to a Full Licence.
4.2 All Data stored in the Account during the Subscription Period will be retained if the Company upgrades to a Full Licence by the end date of the Subscription Period.
4.3 Users will be notified via email prior to the end of the Subscription Period and given instructions on how to upgrade.
4.4 If the Company does not upgrade to a Full Licence by the end date of the Subscription Period, the Subscription will be cancelled, and access to Chalkstring and any Data stored within it will be removed.


5 Termination and Modifications
5.1 Chalkstring reserves the right to terminate or modify this offer at any time without prior notice.
5.2 Any misuse of the offer, including but not limited to the creation of multiple accounts by a single Company to gain additional free Subscriptions, will result in immediate termination of the Subscription Period.

6 General Terms
6.1 The use of the Takeoff Function during the Subscription Period is subject to Chalkstring's standard Terms and Conditions available at Chalkstring Terms and Conditions.
6.2 By signing up for the free Subscription, the Company warrants that the only Users to be given access to the Company's Takeoff Account shall be bona fide prospective clients of Chalkstring, seeking only to confirm the Takeoff Function's suitability for their work activities. Should access have been obtained to Chalkstring for any reason other than a bona fide prospective customer trial, the Company warrants and accept full commercial liability for any direct and indirect damages Chalkstring may incur as a result. Should Chalkstring discover access or information is being provided to competitors or prospective competitors of Chalkstring, the Users of the Company shall be responsible for any and all damages incurred.

7 Account Responsibility
7.1 The Company is responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of login credentials and for all activities that occur under its Account.
7.2  The Company owns and is solely responsible for any Data, content, or materials uploaded, stored, or transmitted through its Account during the Subscription Period. Chalkstring does not claim ownership of any Data or content stored within the Company's Account.

8 Learning Resources and Technical Support
8.1 Learning resources are included during the free Subscription Period. This includes one free 30 minute online training session per Company should the User request this. Additional requests for training will be chargeable at standard rate.
8.2 Basic technical support is available Support requests can be made via email or through Chalkstring's support portal. We aim to respond within one working day and each Account has 10 support enquiries available during the 30-day subscription period.

9 Feedback
Chalkstring may request feedback on the Company's experience with the Takeoff Function during and after the free Subscription Period. Providing feedback is optional but appreciated and helps us improve our services.

11 Limitation of Liability
Chalkstring is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use the Takeoff Function during the free Subscription Period.

12 Governing Law
These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the United Kingdom.
